Hidden Holo

Hi everyone! I hope the start of the weekend is going well for you. I'm seeing my best friends from back home today. I haven't seen them since February, so I'm really lookng forward to today's reunion.

I recently found some of the Color Club holos at my local Winners. They're my first coloured holos ever, so I was pretty excited to try them out. The first one I used is Color Club Eternal Beauty, a gorgeous purple. I knew I wanted to add nail art on top of it, but I actually had a really difficult time trying to think of a design. In the end I went for a subtle tribal print with triangle cutouts to show off the holo.

I like the subtle contrast between the two purples. Also, the formula on this holo is fantastic. It went on without a fuss, and was very easy to use for nail art purposes. Painting the tribal print was no sweat, and the polish went on perfectly opaque from my striping brush.

I started with Essie Nice Is Nice on my thumb and ring finger, and Color Club Eternal Beauty on the rest. For these nails I freehanded triangles with Essie Nice Is Nice on both ends of each nail. Then I used a striping brush and a dotting tool with Color Club Eternal Beauty to paint the tribal designs.

Here's a bonus shot in the sun! I tried to capture the holo as best as I could. Are you as in love with this purple as I am? :)
