Sailor's Bouquet

Hi everyone! This work week is done for me, and next week will be the last of my freshman year at university. I can't believe how quickly time has flown by. This year has had its highs and lows, but overall it's been incredible. I'm trying really hard to enjoy the last of my time here with friends until exams start in April, so I'm still a bit MIA apart from posting. I'm terribly sorry and thank you so much for your time.

These nails are inspired by Floss Gloss Boss. I loved the mix of stripes, flowers, and burnt orange with navy blue. I translated the look onto my own nails with lots of big flowers and skinny stripes. I really like how these turned out, especially the index finger.

Also, please don't mind the non-existent nail on my little finger. A while back I mentioned that I had a really deep break in one of my nails. It was growing out pretty well as I fixed it with the teabag method, but it finally bit the dust before I took photos of this design. I managed to fix it up a bit, but I'll have to file down the rest of my nails for next time :(

I started with American Apparel Rose Bowl on my middle and little finger, and American Apparel T-Shirt on the rest. I used a striping brush and American Apparel Cameo Blue for the stripes. I used American Apparel T-Shirt and a large dotting tool to make the flowers. Then I added a drop of American Apparel Manila in the centers and sheered out that colour using the watercolour technique. I then outlined all of the flowers and added leaves with a striping brush.

Have a good Easter weekend! Come back on Saturday to see my Easter nails for this year :)
