Easter Eggs

Happy Easter weekend! Whether you celebrate or not I hope that this weekend is extra special for you and your family. I'm home for the first time in awhile, so it's nice to spend some time with the people that are closest to me. Also, the weather is beautiful and spring-like right now. Seems like perfect weekend material to me :)

Here's my Easter manicure for this year. I'm not a huge fan of bunny/chick motifs on nails since I'm more of a pattern kind of girl. This started out as a halfmoon manicure, but ended up being a full, curved tribal print in spring pastels.

The end result looks very Easter egg-ish to me, so I'm pleased. I really like the delicate touches- the scalloped edges and the flowers- mixed in with the regular tribal print.

I started with a base of American Apparel T-Shirt. Then I worked from cuticle to tip with a striping brush and a dotting tool to create the patterns. The colours I used are American Apparel Manila, American Apparel L'Esprit, American Apparel Coney Island, and American Apparel Office.

Thanks for stopping by and have a good weekend!
