Clover Field

Hello everyone! St. Patrick's Day is tomorrow, so obviously I needed to do some green nails. I actually wish that I could do some more looks, but unfortunately I didn't plan far enough ahead :( I have a lot on my plate at the moment so the extent of my St. Patrick's Day festivities ends at my nails, but I hope you guys have a fun (and safe) day tomorrow! I'd love to live vicariously through you, so share your plans with me :)

I had a lot of beautiful green polishes to choose from, so I asked for some help deciding on Instagram. In the end I tried to incorporate several into one look. I remembered seeing an awesome colourblocked clover tutorial by the talented Lindsey of Wondrously Polished. Her tutorial manages to combine four different polishes of varying finish into one stellar, cohesive look. Perfect!

I followed Lindsey's video tutorial for the clover pattern. I started off with Essie Navigate Her on all of my nails and painted off the squares using the polish brushes from OPI Green-wich Village, Nubar Meadow Sparkle, and China Glaze Glittering Garland. Then I used a large dotting tool to make the clovers.

I left the clovers as an accent and did a sparkly glitter gradient on the rest of my nails using a makeup sponge and Nubar Meadow Sparkle followed by China Glaze Glittering Garland.

Feel free to tweet me or tag me on Instagram with your St. Patrick's Day nails, I'd love to see them! Have some fun for me tomorrow and be safe :)

  1. Very impressive! Love the glitter touches especially.

  2. Supercool look! Those green polishes fit well together:) xoxo

  3. hehe I love how you asked on instagram which polish to use and up using most of them xD didn't see that coming at all. I don't really know what St Patrick's day is about since it's only in America I think but it's always cool to see all these greens during this time ^^ great nailart!
