A Taste of Turquoise

Happy spring! The weather is so beautiful here, I cannot stress it enough. In fact, it feels like summer! Tomorrow is going to feel like 30 degrees Celsius which is hot. So to punch it up a bit and welcome the weather I strayed away from the soft pastels I've been gravitating toward. You can't tell much in this picture but the turquoise-ish polish is actually supposed to be a neon :P It came out subtler than I thought but that accent nail is pretty glittery :D

I used Essie Sand Tropez on all nails except for the ring finger where I used China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise. Then I used a dotting tool to make diagonal lines of dots with OPI San Tan-Tonio, going over every other line with China Glaze Turned Up Turqouise. For the ringer finger I layered two coats of Sinful Colors Nail Junkie and one coat of Sephora by OPI Only Gold For Me.

I was really tempted to make this one matte but I was scared to ruin it :P Maybe I'll try it later on in the week. If I do, I'll tweet a picture :)

Thanks for visiting on this lovely first day of spring!

  1. beautiful!! I have used a matte top coat before, not liked it, and used a regular top coat over it to change it back :)
