Cotton Candy Glitter

Happy Sunday! I hope you've all had a great weekend. I'm currently on March Break but it doesn't really change anything. I realized that I still have a ton of work to do in all of my subjects anyway. Boo ):
Here's a not-so-exciting layering manicure. A quick story for you: Back when I bought Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe, I was this close to picking up Deborah Lippman Glitter in the Air as well. Luckily for me it was sold out so I didn't end up with it. At first I was disappointed but not that I've gotten my hands on Revlon Whimsical, a dupe, I'm relieved that I didn't splurge on the DL.
My only complaint is that the glitter pieces are a bit sparse. To remedy that I used a layer of Essie A Cut Above to bring in some more pink glitter. I love the finished effect with a muted cotton candy scheme- buried glitter is so pretty!

I started off with two coats of CND Blueberry Whip. Then I proceeded to layer Essie A Cut Above and two coats of Revlon Whimsical on top.

Oh! I'm in the process of changing up my layouts for a cleaner look. My Tumblr and Twitter match too! Please check them out if you have the chance and tell me what you think :)

  1. Lovely! Yea, I keep seeing swatches of Whimsical but people have to put so many coats to get a nice glitter on there. I liked that you used A Cut Above to add a little more glitter. I love the way it looks :) omg I love your tumblr and twitter! It's so cool that all your sites match!!

  2. Thank you! Yeah, the polish is so thin too, I feel like just the two coats I did used up so much of it! There's already a dip in my bottle ):
Haha yay, I'm glad you like the layouts :D The matchy-ness has my mild OCD to thank ;)
