I'm free! I finally finished my last exam on Monday and I changed my manicure asap! This simple design is a bit aztec/tribal and super easy. The colours remind me of lounging by the pool and the pattern reminds me of beach towels. Hope you're all enjoying your summer!
I used Essie Topless and Barefoot as a base colour with Essie Coat Azure for the triangles and Essie Mint Candy Apple for the dots.

I recently got my hands on a bottle of OPI Ink and the bottle looked so promising, I just had to see if it would look as good on the nail. It definitely came through and became this beautiful dark shimmering pool. Of course I couldn't leave it bare so I decided to test out the new neon Art Club striping polishes I picked up. The colours apply decently with toothpicks/dotting tools but they're quite sheer on dark bases when using the brush. On a side note, I started my exams today and I finish on Monday! I've got religion, functions and chemistry to study like crazy for so until then!
This is OPI Ink as a base with Art Club striping polishes for the design.

It was 10:30 last night and I was having troubles. It was already a nightmare taking off the glitter from my last manicure and I had just taken off a freshly yet sloppily done manicure that I couldn't stand to keep. I've had this butter LONDON polish from my London trip in March but I've never had the opportunity to use it. I finally bit the bullet and found myself pleased. The polish went on like a dream and had a gorgeous shimmer that reminded me of Chanel Paradoxal. I couldn't leave it plain though so I ended up covering most of it up for a Ruffian manicure. Overall, I am satisfied!
I used butter LONDON Marrow as a base with Essie Topless and Barefoot on top.

I finally found some time in my schedule to get this done! The photos have been sitting on my camera for awhile so today I decided to get rid of them. I figured that with exams coming up in two weeks, I wouldn't have much time to do intricate manicures to post for you. Hopefully this two-in-one tutorial makes up for it.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me about them. Hope you all enjoy this and do share your versions, I'd love to see them! xx
Hello! Today I have a take on a popular trend going on right now: the glitter/jelly sandwich. I realized that I don't actually own any jelly polishes so I opted for sheer duochromes. The layers of polish flash an aqua colour in the light and a blue-purple in lowlight. It's really fascinating to look at and the gold glitter pieces are fun. It reminds me of the ocean, mermaids and fish scales.
This is multiple layers of Sally Hansen HD DVD, OPI See Ya Later, Sailor! with Sephora by OPI Only Gold for Me Top Coat sandwiched in between.

More flowers! Someone on tumblr suggested doing tutorials. I figured that the florals seem to be generally popular so why not start with that? I have a lot of step-by-step photos to edit and I'm really busy with school so the actual tutorial might not be published for a while. I'm planning for it to be a two-in-one kind of thing: how to do a gradient plus the flower technique.
I used Pop Art Pink for the base with Essie Tart Deco sponged for the gradient. I proceeded to layer that with China Glaze Temptation Carnation. The flowers were done with Essie Tart Deco, Essie Pop Art Pink, American Apparel Dynasty and a white striping polish.
