Get Me to the Beach!

I'm free! Summer school is officially over! I wrote my Grade 12 University English exam this morning and now I can finally post this manicure. Here's a very simple look featuring a favourite summer colour combination:

Seen here is China Glaze Breakin' and China Glaze For Audrey on top with a white striping polish.

TUTORIAL: Two Tribal Nail Designs!

After a lot of turmoil, I finally have this video tutorial up! By watching it you'll learn how to create two different  but easy tribal designs on your nails. The first design is a zig zag tribal, found in the post Sitting Poolside. The second is a herringbone tribal, found twice on my blog: Chic Chevron and More of the Same. Please enjoy the video tutorial and don't mind my weird voice :P

More of the Same

Here's a variation to a design from a few posts back. I'm normally not one to do the exact same design but I filmed the process for a video tutorial. I had everything edited all nicely but due to technical difficulties I'll have to start again using a different program. I might try it again today so wish me luck!

This is American Apparel Hassid, Essie Topless and Barefoot and China Glaze For Audrey.

A Touch of Glitter

Long time no see! Terribly sorry for being MIA. I'm more than halfway through summer school and things are slightly less stressful right now. I'm sure that the work load will pick up again soon though. Anyway, I've been so busy that while I had time to paint my nails, I haven't had time to edit photos and what not. I actually have another photo waiting to be posted today but I'll save it for another time. For now, here's a simple manicure with glittery red bows.

I used Seche Chemise (Quick Shirt?) to give the nail some shine and American Apparel Downtown LA topped with Barry M Red Glitter.

Watermelon Wiggle

Here's a fun and simple watermelon french manicure just for kicks. It's very easy and always a crowd pleaser.

The fruit part is China Glaze Cherry Pie and the rind is none other than China Glaze Watermelon Rind.

Chic Chevron

What started out as another tribal pattern ended up being a cool chevron look. I'm pretty pleased with how these turned out. At first I was worried that the multiple layers of polish wouldn't level nicely and the thickness would be a disaster but everything pulled together in the end!

I used a base of American Apparel Hassid with Essie Nice is Nice and Essie Mint Candy Apple for the chevron.
